Freedom - 1716- Male, German Shepherd Dog

Freedom came to rescue from a shelter. He was a stray and on deaths door. He was on the euthanasia list when we saved him. He was only 37# and now is 85#. He was heartworm positive but has been treated. He has had a yeast infection in his body until recently that we have treated for over 6 months. It required medication and baths every other day. It was a constant battle that plagued him. He is now healed. He is on monthly heartworm preventative along with Frontline monthly.

He has been neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, along with implanting a microchip. He loves to play with toys, chase balls and play with his two foster brothers. He will make someone a wonderful companion. We do not recommend children under the age of 16 yrs. We do require a 6' high fenced yard to adopt this dog. We also require adopters to enroll and attend obedience training classes.

Our dogs may not live outside, may not be tied or tethered. We do not recommend underground, electronic fence systems as they do not prevent anything or anyone from entering the yard. Your dog is not safe and should not be left unattended with any kind of underground fencing. They may not run loose unsupervised.

The adoption fee for Freedom is $250.

Bo - 1891 - Male, German Shephard dog mix

Bo is a sweet, senior who has not been treated very nice in his previous life. Having lived many months of his life in a shelter previously, he is learning how nice it is to be in a house. Since he is about 9 yrs old, with a DOB: 11.7.9 and having recently been neutered, he is not completely house broken. He has lifted his leg inside and needs to be watched or needs to wear a male security garment, as they are life savers. He is not as reactive to other dogs as when he first was saved and in a foster home in KY. He needs patience and love. He would love long walks or at least a big secure yard where he is able to run and play. His adoption fee is $150.00.

Now in MN, he is most interested in checking out every part of a home. He has not reacted to any dog. We are giving him canned dog food mixed with his dry dog food to encourage him to eat. He is very sweet. His eyes tell me he is very lost and needs a quiet home where folks can show him love, patience and lots of TLC. We are not sure if another dog would benefit him or if he should be an only dog. We are still learning about this sweet elderly guy who has lots of energy and acts like he is a few years younger.

Bo update. He is eating when food is offered. Bo is sweet, wags his tail non-stop and ready to meet new people. He gives kisses and loves everybody he meets. He has made so much progress since arriving in MN and his foster home. It is like watching a puppy seeing things for the first time. Very heart warming.

The adoption fee for Bo is $150.

Cosmos - 1893 - Male, Cogi mix

We are learning about him and appears to be very sweet and like other dogs and all people.

We do not allow dogs to be tied or tethered. We require dogs to be inside only dogs. We prefer a fenced yard that is 6' high for this gal so that she can get exercise and enjoy some time outside.

If you are interested in adopting this young Corgi mix, please go to the website www.faerielandrescue.org on the home page under services and complete and application. We do not allow our dogs to live outside, be tied or tethered but live inside with their humans. We do require obedience training for our dogs to complete the adoption process.

Dinah comes to rescue through another shelter. She is vaccinated and spay. She likes to go for car rides, spend time with her human and play. Her DOB is 3.26.12. She is reaching her senior years but has not slowed down. We are recommending a home without toddlers because of her age. She can be paired with another dog, a male that is middle of the road personality.

She is a little alpha and can also be an only dog.

We do not allow dogs to be tied or tethered. We require dogs to be inside only dogs. We prefer a fenced yard that is 6' high for this gal so that she can get exercise and enjoy some time outside.

Eli - 1854 - Female, German Shepherd dog

Eli comes to rescue as a stray. His DOB is 7.25.16. He is a young German Shepherd male that needs training. He enjoys rides in the car, walking (but needs training), playing with bones, learning to play with toys. He loves Jolly balls and will retrieve them. He is learning manners in the house and around humans-he tends to jump. He can catch treats. He can also sit and wait. He can be a bit vocal if he wants attention or to go outside. He is a very handsome black and tan male that will need a job, regular exercise and obedience training. He will not be a good fit for some one who is a couch potato.

We don't recommend children under the age of 10 years because he tends to jump and has not learned manners yet. He is quite frisky with running around and very active.

We are not sure about other dogs as his intros have been barking and getting in their face. At this time we are recommending that if another dog, a slow intro of a female that is NOT alpha be the dog of choice. No small dogs, cats or other animals is recommended at this time.

He is completely vaccinated, has a microchip and is neutered. We are recommending a fenced yard-6' high fence- for him to get enough exercise. We do not recomment that he be in a yard with an electronic underground fenced yard. It would not keep him safe or keep out other animlas from his space. Our dogs may not live outside or be left unattended out side when you are gone. Our dogs should live inside with their family and be part of the family.

We do not allow dogs to be tied or tethered. We require dogs to be inside only dogs. We prefer a fenced yard that is 6' high for this gal so that she can get exercise and enjoy some time outside.

The adoption fee for Eli is $350.

Gerrie is a stray that came to rescue. She is currently in KY being fostered and available for adoption. She has a skin condition that we are treating. She is vaccinated and will be spay shortly. She is very sweet and coming around with strangers.

Gerrie is a beautiful sweet girl. She has come along way in learning to trust since she left the "shelter".

Per her foster mom, "Gerrie was mistreated by her former owners and at the shelter. She can be a little timid around strangers, but comes around quickly especially if a yummy treat is offered. I learned tonight that once you get her attention, she can sit and shake paws with you. She had a stunning jet black coat that is coming in beautifully not being taken care of. Gerrie will be fully vetted and ready for adoption."

We do not allow dogs to live outside; be tethered or tied; or be in a yard with an underground fence systems.

The adoption fee for Gerrie is $250.

He is about 1 yr old and weighs 36#.

Sophie - 1814 - Female, German Shepherd dog

Sophie comes to rescue through no fault of her own. Her family split up and she needed a place to go. Her birthday is 10.15.2005. She is a senior gal that needs a quieter home. She is spay, completely vetted and has a microchip. She likes car rides, spending time with her human, lots of tummy rubs and regular brushing.

We are not sure about other pets in the home such as a cat. We would like her to live in a home without anyone under 16 yrs of age because of her age. She would love shorter walks, sunshine, love and a soft bed to rest her head. She is the prettiest German Shepherd female with black and tan markings.

We want our dogs to live indoors and not be outdoors dogs. We would like a fenced yard for her but it is not a requirement as long as the applicants are responsible with exercise and not letting her run loose. We do not allow dogs to be tied or tethered.

Molly - 1886 - Female, Terrier mix

Molly was a stray in southern TX that someone dumped beside an apartment building. She laid there for 2 weeks with a good samaritan feeding her but not taking her inside a home to be safe. Once we learned of her just being outside unprotected, we decided to save her. FaerieLand found a foster in TX, got her basic vetting done and transported her to MN.

Since coming to MN she has settled in nicely. We have learned about her in that she should not be around small children. She will not allow anyone to touch her left front foot and will snap. We feel she has been mistreated. she is learning to trust people and lets her current foster mom, pet her, stroke her head and body. She is house broken and easily goes into a crate on her own. She does not like loud voices or anyone trying to force her to do something.

2019-01-09 : Molly update: We have determined that Molly is a Terrier mix vs a Corgi mix. She exhibits terrier or Chihuahua characteristics and is very sweet but is touchy on her feet. She hates to have her feet touched and trimming her nails is done while wearing an Elizabetan collar and someone she trusts holding her. She is very sweet and loyal to the person she trusts.

The adoption fee for Molly is $250.

Beauty - 1813 - Female, Australian Kelpie & Shepherd Mix

Beauty is an adorable 10-year-old Shepherd x Kelpie mix. She is vetted and ready for adoption.

She may have a stub for a tail but that doesn't keep her from wagging it! She will curl up on the couch or in the chair beside me. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom but would probably be happy on a dog bed next to your bed. She loves to be pet and will stand by your chair while you rub her back.

In her foster home, she gets along fine with a 16-year-old Golden mix (who wouldn't?) and most of the time with another 16-month-old foster dog, Shepherd mix, Beau. She will get a little possessive towards Beau when she's sitting near me and he comes for attention. She can be aggressive at the dog park so tread carefully there.

She would do best with a fenced in yard because she rarely will do her business if she's on a lead or leash. She rides well in a car but does like to chat about what she sees. In my car she is egged on by Beau so she would probably be quiet if no one else is yapping!

She's a love bug with a sweet face and Yoda ears!

Our dogs may not live outside, may not be tied or tethered. We do not recommend underground, electronic fence systems as they do not prevent anything or anyone from entering the yard. Your dog is not safe and should not be left unattended with any kind of underground fencing. They may not run loose unsupervised.

The adoption fee for Beauty is $100.
