Grizzly comes to rescue from KY after being abandoned by his owners. They were evicted from their home, packed their vehicle and left him standing in the yard. He was on his own for quite some time.

When picked up he was very emaciated, covered in burs, goop coming out of his eyes and only weighed about 59#. He was pulled by our rescue and had him seen by a veterinarian to determine his overall condition. Too thin and sick to be neutered as he tested positive for heartworms.

He has since gained weight to 84 # and has had his 3 treatments for heartworm. His next visit to the vet to determine the heartworms are gone is in a few days. Heartworms are gone and we have a date in Janurary 2023 for Grizzly to be neutered.

He is the sweetest most chill German Shepherd to come to FaerieLand in years. His DOB is 8.8.13 and he is now up for adoption. His adoption fee is $250.00.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
