Meet Shimmer! She is just over 3 years old and is a wee sprite of a girl at 16.4lbs.
Her adoption fee is $350.00. She is up to date on vaccinations, spay and has a microchip.
Shimmer is mostly Pembroke Welsh Corgi, with a dash of Cardigan Welsh Corgi, whish gives her the blue merle coloring in her coat and the one blue eye. She is sweet, spunky and cute as all get out!! She has fit in very well at her foster home and loves running and playing with her two Corgi brothers in her new backyard.
Shimmer has just graduated from the beginner obedience class at Total Recall School for Dogs. She is learning to play with agility and loves to jump. She is also being exposed to sheep, as befits a herding dog.
She is a real sweetheart who loves to cuddle. Shimmer still startles with loud or surprise noises and can be shy when in an unfamiliar or crowded place. She loves her kennel! House training is pretty good, but there is still an accident, but they are getting less frequent.
She will do best with someone who is gentle, an adult only home, but firm, as she had to be a strong girl to deal with having been in a puppy mill until just a few months ago. She would do best in a home that has a fenced back yard, and another dog she could play with and help her learn that life is good.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
If you are serious about this dog, please go to our website www.faerielandrescue.org/resources.
