Max a German Shepherd Dog, DOB:2.1.19 and my adoption fee is $400.00. I am fully vetted with a neuter, vaccinations and a microchip.
Hello I’m Max and I’m just a bachelor looking to find my forever home. I am around 4 years old. I am a super sweet loving big boy that was surrendered when the love of my life became ill and could no longer take care of me. I’m looking for a forever home that will show me all the love and kindness humans have to offer; just like my previous human. I have been told by my foster parents I am a heartthrob and will definitely steal your heart.
I like to go on long walks although I am working on my leash manners; I’m kennel and house trained as well. My strongest assets are my charming smile and amazing cuddling skills. I also love playing with toys and balls – one day I will find where those sneaky snowballs disappear to - my foster throws them, but once they hit the ground, I can’t find them even with my amazing nose! I will find one someday! My weakness is not getting along with all dogs. I may be a little picky on a sibling, but we have to be a perfect match to enjoy life together– I want my forever home and it doesn’t matter if it means I would be the only dog. Cats are not known at this time.
I am a big boy that is also learning to control my excitement with humans and jumping up to greet them. If you have children, I would be best with school aged (14 + yrs) ones because of this, but I am extremely gentle and loving with kids when I’m not so excited. Training will help me with this tremendously. Together we can work on teaching me how to live in a loving home that I will be able to grow old with
you. Will I be your perfect soul mate? If we are a match, I can show you my favorite trick – giving you a high five!
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
