Meet Lesli, a female German Shepherd picked up as a stray in KY. She has a DOB of 2.8.17 and is UTD on all vaccinations including a microchip. She is spay and heartworm negative. Her coloring is a beautiful sable & her adoption fee is $400.00
If you are serious about this dog, Please go to our website www.faerielandrescue.org/resources.
Lesli is 6 years old and has not had the best life. She lived the first 5 years of her life as an outside dog in a 20' x 20' pen. When surrendered we were told she was with a very dominant male dog. She has pretty low energy and walks pretty good on leash. She will race along the fence if your neighbors have another dog. She may be best as a ONLY dog in the home. She is learning that all humans are not bad and 2 square meals a day are pretty cool. We feel her home needs to be quiet, experienced one for with shy and unsocial, scared dogs. Lesli is liking everyone she meets including young children. A typical German Shepherd that can be aloof when you approach her. We are told by her current foster mom that she does not charge the gates.
She WILL require a 6' fenced yard to keep her safe and secure. It will take her a long time to completely adjust to the good life. Stay turned for updates.
If you think this is a dog you can consider for adoption, please see below for the link to fill out an application. Please note "we do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments."
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
