My name is Gunner, I am your typical goofy puppy that would love to have a place to call my own and show you all the amazing things I can do. My favorite pastime is eating; I will do anything for a treat or my meal. I have learned to sit at mealtime; however I may do a little dance and bark a little song if you take too long. I am a pro at sitting and have caught on real fast to down. My foster family says even though I act silly and sometimes run into things because I'm so happy, I am a smart boy who will learn quickly.

I am crate trained even though I may sing a short song when you leave me, but that only lasts until I cannot see you. I am doing great at potty training, but I still need a little reminding and lots of praise. I love my belly rubs!

I do great playing with other dogs big or small. I will try to keep up with my German Shepherd foster out in the yard. Even though I have not been around cats my foster mom thinks I would be fine with them. Children are the greatest too. I've trained my foster family children to give me treats for doing what they ask. I'm a total lovebug and cannot wait to meet my family! Gunner needs another dog in the home to play with and run off his puppy energy. He should be in a home where he is crated about 5-6 hours a day but no more. Prefer if the adopters worked from home or worked alternate shifts if 2 adults in the same home.

We are recommending he be adopted into a home with a 5' or 6' secure fence to keep him safe during play time. Please note: "we do not adopt our dogs to folks who rent apartments".

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
