Chevy comes to rescue from KY as an owner surrender along with 3 of her puppies. Her puppies have all found their forever homes, now it is her turn! She is very sweet and loves people of all ages and doesn't know a stranger. The key to winning her over is to get on her level, once you do this, she trusts you completely. She has a SUPER chill temperament and just loves to be loved on. She will follow her foster everywhere.

Chevy is great with other dogs. We feel she would be cat safe with calm and relaxed cats as she is in a home with a cat. She is very gentle with children and allows them to give her all the love they can. Her favorite thing to do besides playing with her fur foster is car rides. She LOVES to go for car rides although she will generally fall asleep but loves the adventure of the open road. Even though she has great recall, it would be preferred for her to have a fully fenced in yard 6' high. Her new found joys of playing ball would be best in an enclosed yard so she can run and play like she has never done before. She has learned to swim and likes to wade in the water. She willingly goes in the water and most of the time will be found searching for new friends in the shallow.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged only after your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system or live in apartments. Please do not apply.
