We know there is a special someone out there that has room in their heart for this girl! Hope is a 2 1/2-year-old Australian Kelpie mix. She is a great size at about 30 pounds. She came from Kentucky and had her rear leg was removed due to the damage suffered in the KY floods.
She is kind and wants to make that special connection but is very timid & shy. She needs someone to take the time with her so she can be the best friend she so badly wants to be! She would flourish with another dog or pack to lead the way!
Australian Kelpies do not warm up to humans quickly at all. They are a herding breed of dog.
Hope is a dream on the leash, rides in the car great, potty trained, crate trained and gets along wonderfully with other dogs she has been introduced to. Help make this girl's dream to have a home to call her own.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. Hope requires a 5' secured fenced yard to adopt her. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system. We do not adopt to folks who live in apartments.
