Meet Tempe, a very sweet German Shepherd, whose DOB is 8.31.21 and an adoption fee of $400.00. She is spay, vaccinated and has a microchip.
If you are serious about this dog, Please go to our website www.faerielandrescue.org/resources. We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments.
Tempe is a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind German Shepherd. The vet believes that her face is due to a genetic defect, but it doesn't slow her down or cause her any problems. She will always have that toothy smile on her sweet face!
Her life wasn't all sunshine and roses. When she first came into rescue, she was a mere 45lbs. She had been left on a chain outside her whole life and was made to have puppies in the condition she was in! We were very thankful that she is a healthy girl and the most affectionate, sweet, gentle girl! She's very playful and likes chasing tennis balls, ring toys, any toy, now that she knows what they are. And she absolutely LOVES to play with other dogs. It is taking her some time to figure out how to show other dogs that all she wants to do is play, but she is eager to learn this so dogs will play with her. She has been in a foster home with kids and a cat and has done very well with them. She has learned that she has freedom from the chain and will get the zoomies in the yard and runs every inch she can. Tempe knows how to sit and will sit for her food and treats without having to be asked. She learned that quickly and seems to be a smart dog! She's also crate trained and house broken.
A smart person once said, "I look for a dog that isn't your typical dog. Find that unique one that you would be able to spot out in a crowd of dogs." Tempe is the one-of-a-kind girl that you would fall head over heels in love with - as would she.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We do not adopt to folks who live in apartments.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
