Sammy is a sable colored male, Pembroke Welsh Corgi. His DOB is 8.14.21 with an adoption fee of $450.00. He is vaccinated, neutered and has a microchip.
Introducing the one and only, Sammy! This handsome Pembroke Welsh Corgi is looking for a fur-ever home that will love and cherish him for all the days of his life. Sammy may have had a rough start, coming from a breeding facility and not knowing how to "dog", but with the help of his furry foster siblings, he's now a pro at playing with toys and initiating play with other pups.
If you are serious about this dog, please go to our website and fill out an application: https://faerielandrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/. We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments.
At just 3 years old, Sammy is still a young pup with plenty of energy to spare. He weighs in at a petite 30 pounds, but don't let his size fool you - he's surprisingly fast and can keep up with the best of them. In fact, at his foster home, he can easily keep up with a Cattle Dog mix and a German Shepherd mix!. Talk about impressive.
But don't worry, Sammy isn't all go-go-go. He also knows how to relax and be a couch potato when the time calls for it. He's a busy little guy, but he also loves to cuddle and be by your side as a constant companion. His affectionate and easygoing personality makes him the perfect lap animal for anyone looking for a loyal and loving companion.
Sammy's foster family describes him as an adorable and cuddly furry friend, and we couldn't agree more. Although he may still be working on his fear of new places and situations, he is incredibly curious and loves to explore his surroundings. It's both adorable and heartwarming to see him slowly but surely come out of his shell.
So, what kind of home is Sammy looking for? Well, he would do best in a quiet but active household where he can continue to grow and learn to trust. He gets along well with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion to keep him company. And while he hasn't interacted much with children, his gentle and friendly demeanor help us believe he would do well in a home with children 12 years and older. We are recommending a secure 6’ or 5’ fenced yard for this sweet corgi to keep him safe and have a place to run and play.
Sammy may have had a rough start in life, but he's ready to leave his past behind and embark on a new journey with a loving family. Are you that special someone who can give him the love, patience, and understanding he deserves? If so, don't hesitate to make Sammy a part of your life and give him the forever home he's been dreaming of. Apply today to come meet him and see why he's the perfect addition to any family!
