Tucker is searching for a forever home that will be patient and understanding. He loves women, but might take awhile to warm up to a male in the household. He is still learning to trust and show affection towards men.
He has had 6 weeks of training where he knows all the basic commands. He is house broken and crate trained. A refresher obedience course with a new owner is recommended to help build that bond and help his confidence. He has lots of energy so an adopter/family that is very active outside the home (walks, playing ball, going on hikes, etc.) would be perfect. However once home we think he would love to just chill and relax, without a lot of people coming and going. We are not recommending children under 13 years of age at this time.
His ideal new home would have a 6' high fenced yard or area to play and exercise in, he loves to be outside and play ball. Want to go out on an adventure Tucker is ready to hop in the car and go with.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved.
We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system. We don not adopt our dogs to folks who plan to have the dogs living outside 24/7 or the majority of time or living in a kennel type environment.
